At Leon Barnett Football Academy, developing your child’s football ability isn’t our only priority, we also help them develop as people. We provide every player with a safe and enjoyable environment so they can feel comfortable, confident and develop their game at their own pace.
Junior Academy
Leon Barnett Football Academy focuses on developing your children’s ability and understanding of the game, while keeping a smile on their face. The academy was formed by Director Leon Barnett. Having played over 300 professional football matches in the Premier League, Europa League and Charity Community Shield, he has been passing on the wealth of his experience and knowledge to the next generations of footballers.
The FA 4 Corner Model
Leon's coaching team base sessions on fun, development and the FA '4 Corner Model'. The FA recommends that player development needs to be looked at from a technical, physical, psychological and social point of view – and that no corner works in isolation from the others. FA & UEFA Licensed coaches
Leon, Rob and the coaching team in general are all licensed to coach by the FA or UEFA and passed standard DBS checks while ensuring that the environment for every session or match is a safe one.
Social Development & Fun!
Having fun whilst playing football is a huge priority to us, especially the chance to make friends while playing football. We've found through experience that the game can bring young players together with simple interaction being the catalyst. They are naturally engaging with each other as away from other off-pitch distractions and with our support they build their confidence.
